Payment

A non-refundable deposit is payable to secure an order and place in the work schedule. Balance payment is payable prior to delivery or installation of all goods. All sales are non-refundable unless major product failure occurs, which will be assessed at the discretion of Kithe.

If final payment is not made and/or the furniture cannot be delivered due to delays caused by the client not being available, or by works happening at the client's delivery address, a $100 per week storage fee will be charged beginning from the due date of the final invoice.

Design Approval

Where drawings or design specifications are provided prior to production, proceeding with payment of any invoice following the provision of those drawings or specifications constitutes the client's acceptance of those specifications in full.

Kithe will not be held responsible for variations between the finished piece and any unconfirmed changes requested after this point.

Production Time

Our production time will be advised at the time of purchase in weeks. This can vary and we are not responsible for unforeseen delays such as timber shortages and staff absences. Every effort will be made to meet the lead time quoted.

In the event that Kithe is unable to fulfil an order due to circumstances beyond its control, the client will be notified as soon as practicable and any deposit paid will be refunded in full.

Materials

Every effort will be made to match the materials shown as samples in our workspace or from images online. As timber is a natural product, there can and often is some minor difference in colour, grain, and appearance between samples and the finished piece.

If you are uncertain, it is recommended that you visit our workshop and view a sample in person before making a decision.

Repairs

Timber is a natural product that responds to changes in its environment. Splits, minor cracks, or movement may appear as the piece acclimatises to your home — this is a natural characteristic of solid timber and is not considered a fault or the result of poor workmanship.

Air conditioning and prolonged exposure to heating vents can have an adverse effect on timber. Repairs will be assessed at the discretion of Kithe and may incur a cost to the client.

Deliveries

Kithe must be made aware of any details that may affect a smooth delivery, including narrow doorways, stairs, long distances from parking, low passageways, or sharp turns. This information is required prior to delivery being scheduled.

If access details are not disclosed and additional effort or equipment is required on the day, additional delivery fees will apply. Where a delivery cannot be completed due to undisclosed access constraints, return freight, storage, and any required modifications to the piece will be at the client's cost.

Delivery fees are quoted at the time of purchase and added to the balance invoice. If delivery is affected by flooding or any other natural event, fees may be revised accordingly.

Agreement

By paying your invoiced deposit you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the above terms and conditions.
